A few of us are going to do some fun racing at Hartness this Wednesday afternoon around 5pm. Marks are already in for anyone wanting to start earlier.
Hope to see several of you there!

We are an open for fun and racing r/c sailing club that is part of the Mid-South-Sailing ring of clubs with Anderson, SC and Asheville, NC. We promote three classes of boats; The Seawind (our largest and premier class), Nirvana, and US1M. Don't have a boat? NO PROBLEM! Come join us and we'll get a loaner in your hands for an afternoon. Contact us at info@gmyc.org

Had a great afternoon of racing at Hartness today. There were three of us, Me, Myself, and I. I did great and won 3 of 3. Myself got 2 seconds and a third, leaving poor me with 2 thirds and a second. Light air but still better than being at work. And no, I am not schizophrenic, just bored.
We got in a bunch of races in and out of the foul weather at Green Pond Yacht Club (GPYC) on Saturday. The wind wasn’t incredibly cooperative but we did get in a bunch of racing – GMYC was well represented and the top three had one sailor from each of the mid-south sailing clubs. Photos coming soon! Results as follows:
Last night, during our funsail, we left marks in the water at the pond so we will have them to start racing immediately during the evenings. We’ll try to setup a regular meeting time during the week (probably Wednesday evenings).
Remember the Anderson regatta this Saturday! We’re expecting a great turnout. Please click the link on the schedule to the left or contact us for more information.
We added a couple of new events this week and added a couple of larger area events to the calendar. In light of the upcoming Mid-South-Sailing regatta in Anderson on the 19th, we’ve decided to get together for the next couple of Wednesday evenings to get tuned up. We’ll meet starting around 5pm and sail until sometime around 7. We probably won’t have formal racing but will try to have some marks in the water. Contact myself or Tim for more information.
